These are by far the most comfortable safety toe shoes I have found. They strike a great balance of good quality leather, not too heavy (about 1lb per shoe) and the fitment is nearly perfect for my feet (10.5 wide). My feet measure a smidge over 10.5 and just a hair over the normal width into wide on the Brannock foot measuring device you normally see in stores. This shoe at 10.5w is maybe a hair longer then 10.5 and is spot on for the width. The safety toe is the biggest factor on any hard toe shoe for me. They are always oddly shaped in the toe box and mess up the comfort of a shoe, making them too heavy. I'm a CNC Machinist, so I'm on my feet all day and these shoes are about as close to perfect I can find. I have tried on Georgia boots, Carolinas, Wolverines, Danners, Chippewa, Redwings and Thorogood, and while those other brands may feel higher quality in some respects, they are not nearly as comfortable as these Timberlands. I also have a pair of the Titan safety toe oxford from timberland, and while they are comfortable, they are kind of heavy. These Timberlands also use the special hex shaped insole that costs 25-30 by itself. I don't even feel the hard toe while walking or standing, unless I try and jamb my toe into the upper. I'm not really big on leaving reviews for stuff unless I feel pretty strongly (one way or the other) about the item. As you can see I'm pretty impressed with these shoes and would highly recommend trying them out if you are looking for a comfortable safety toe shoe.Time will tell how durable this shoe is. I will try and report back if I remember to update this review in a few months.EDIT: Had these for 8 months so far. I ended up changing out the insole inserts, they were so soft they did not have any support. so far still a great shoe though and more comfortable than any hard toe shoe I have had.The soles are really soft rubber/foam. They get torn up if you walk on anything besides concrete/smooth surfaces. I had a small chunk of the sole break off when I did some light construction and stepped on a piece of cinderblock. These are definitely not designed for any kind of rugged work. The reason for buying Oxford safety shoes is because you want shoes that don't look like bulky, unattractive safety shoes. These almost accomplish that goal, but then detract from it by putting a large cattle brand on the side. That might be less noticeable or more forgivable on a bulky safety shoe that isn't very attractive, anyway, but it defeats the purpose of buying a "dress" shoe. If it weren't for that, these are five star shoes. The size fit as expected, they are comfortable on the first wear, and after several months still look and feel great. This signage is more noticeable on the brown version, but shouldn't be on any Oxford. These fit me well and felt good right away. They walk comfortably but after a while they get a bit warm, which was surprising to me since I am moving from steel toed shoes to these composite toed shoes which are lighter. The steel toed Caterpillar shoes actually breathe better. These are true to size and great to wear all day. I'm very satisfied with these and recommend them. The shoes they replaced, another brand, where heavy due to the safety toe, or just maybe a heavier and stiffer shoe. These are so much better. I will get them again when time warrants. This shoe looks nothing like the picture , it shows to be tan or light brown - this shoe is the darkest brown you can imagine nearly black. I believe it will be comfortable for the long haul. Time will tellComfortable, but after wearing for 6 months they are already worn through on the sole. Also, the leather is worn through around the safety toe. I would not recommend this shoe, even for light duty work.Is safety shoes and good qualityThanksNot at all comfortable, even with different insoles. Hurt my feet bad, gave it a good break in week no good ,had to buy a different pair of steel toes. For 125 dollars and the timberland name with good reviews. I thought it was a shoe in. But almost the equivalent of strapping 2x4s on my feet.
